MECBIO Pty Ltd, a leading provider of mechanical and biological waste treatment solutions across Australia and New Zealand, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with JT Rectec GmbH, a German manufacturer renowned for its innovative compost turners and sustainable waste processing technologies.
This collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), grants MECBIO the rights to represent JT Rectec’s product range—including the JT-series and eTurner-series compost turners—across Australia and New Zealand. The partnership aims to enhance organic waste processing capabilities in the region by introducing advanced, semi-autonomous, and environmentally friendly composting equipment.
A Shared Vision for Sustainable Waste Management
JT Rectec is a young and dynamic company specializing in self-propelled compost turners designed for windrow composting, biological drying, and microbial soil remediation. Their eTurner models (E380 and E530) are the world’s first series-produced all-electric compost turners, offering:
- Zero emissions and lowest energy costs
- Sensor-based pile detection and semi-autonomous operation
- Remote control functionality
- Compatibility with renewable energy sources like solar charging
Meanwhile, the JT-series (JT580 and JT630) turners feature fuel-efficient designs, patented rotor technology for gentle material handling, and intuitive operating systems that reduce workload and maximise productivity.

MECBIO: Local Expertise with Global Reach
Since 2018, MECBIO has delivered robust and sustainable waste treatment solutions to both public and private sectors. MECBIO has successfully implemented projects for clients such as the Soilco, Repurposeit, and Western Composting Technologies.
MECBIO’s services span the full spectrum of waste recovery—from In-Vessel Composting and Anaerobic Digestion to mechanical sorting and air treatment systems. The addition of JT Rectec’s compost turners to MECBIO’s portfolio further strengthens its commitment to providing world-class technologies tailored to local needs.
What This Means for Australia and New Zealand
The partnership is expected to accelerate the adoption of low-emission, high-efficiency composting solutions in the region. MECBIO will provide sales, service, parts, and technical support for JT Rectec equipment, ensuring that clients benefit from both cutting-edge technology and local expertise.
